Dog's stool

My dog has a soft stool with mucus. It’s been like this the past couple days. Any ideas how to fix him?

Don’t worry if your dog has a little bit of mucus in his/her stool. Dog stool normally contains a small amount of mucus, it is made by the intestines to keep the colon lining lubricated and moist.

If there is an excessive amount of mucus in your dog’s stool or if there is also blood or a drastic change in your dog’s bowel movements see the vet immediately. Common causes of this include:
-stress
-dietary indiscretion
-constipation
-colon or rectum inflammation
-intestinal parasites
-bacterial overgrowth
-tumors and/or polyps
-rectal opening narrows
