My chocolate lab has had skin allergy issues, and I feel it may be related to how much corn is in his diet. I am looking for the ideal dog food that has real ingredients (read: protein) before corn, and doesn’t use hormones, pesticides, or any unhealthy chemicals or additives.

Two contenders on the top of my shortlist are Blue Buffalo and Taste of the Wild. Which of these dog foods would Canine Journal recommend for its pups?

I have some of the same concerns that you do – sick of all the crap in our dog food on the market today. So, I did a ton of research and so did some of our researchers and found that not only do my dogs LOVE Taste of the Wild but it also meets your needs of no corn (grain-free), all meats are hormone and antibiotic free and the food contains no harmful ethoxyquin chemicals.
