Why Is Our New Puppy Sick?

My Husband and I just got a 14 week old blue heeler puppy. On the way home we noticed she was breathing heavy, drooling a lot, and had a runny nose. Later in the ride she threw up which we thought was car sickness (it was an hour drive). We got her home she ran and played like nothing was wrong and even ate. About 4 hours after she ate and drank some water, she threw up all of what she ate. We want to get an opinion before we have to spend a lot of money at the vet if it something that will pass. Please help us!
