Over at the Canine Journal HQ, we have rescue puppies on the brain. Partially because, well, we always have rescue puppies on the brain (we’d adopt ’em all if we could!) but also because one of our very own just welcomed a new fashionable hound into her home.Brown Rescue Dog in Grass

This is Lily. She’s sweet, smart, and steadily putting on poundage after coming to her new owner malnourished and literally love-starved. Just weeks into life at her forever home, she’s learning to play with her sister, Bella, to climb stairs, and that strangers are always friends in her house.

We hope you’ll read more of Lily’s rescue dog story here and we also hope you’ll tell us yours: We received an overwhelming number of dog rescue stories, so click here to start reading other readers’ stories. We’ll choose the top tear-jerkers (happy tears, friends, happy tears) and publish them on CanineJournal.com as they come in. Keep ’em coming and we will continue to share the most inspiring and fun-filled stories!

Send your dog rescue tails (bad pun?) via our contact form. We look forward to sharing your stories.

Sara is a writer for Canine Journal. She adores dogs and recently adopted a rescue pup named Beamer. Whole she may be adjusting to life with another being to care for, she needed no time to adjust to all the extra love.
