What’s the difference?

Hi Sadie, great question! There are a few differences between Cavaliers and Cavapoos. First, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a purebred, whereas the Cavapoo is a Cavalier and Poodle mixed breed, either a toy or a miniature Poodle. They are both incredibly adorable and often make great family pets. Cavaliers are super sweet breeds and love their humans more than anything else, but as a result of this, they often suffer from separation anxiety. They need around 30 minutes of exercise each day and are average shedders. Cavapoos are also very sweet companion dogs but are less likely to suffer from separation anxiety. They also need more exercise thanks to their sporty Poodle influence, sometimes up to an hour daily. Cavapoos typically shed less than Cavaliers, and they might inherit their Poodle parent’s hypoallergenic coat (not always!)
