I love my pup to pieces, but he does this one thing that drives me nuts. He is a big cuddler and loves to snuggle on my lap. The issue is that he will start to lick my leg or foot, even through my socks or pant leg. He gets very pushy and will not stop licking, to the point where I move him off my lap. Is it normal for a dog to lick a person’s leg, and how can I get this to stop? I don’t want to give up my puppy cuddles, but the licking on my leg makes me nuts.

OMG Frankie. Mine does the same thing. Drives me crazy too. My dog also licks my couch, blankets, and sheets until they’re soaking wet. I’d love to know how to curb this too. I haven’t found anything that works.

I also have this issue. I usually put a blanket over my legs to create a barrier. I have also started putting peanut butter on a lick mat or chew toy. It has helped a little, but she will still do it.
