I love the idea of naming a dog after a place that’s meaningful, what are some unique city names? Some ideas that are close to my heart:
- Lawrence
- Austin
- Winston
- Salem
- Georgie (George Washington)
- Lexie (Alexandria or Lexington)
- Dallas
- Douglas or Doug
- Virginia or Ginny
- Aspen or Vail
- Kacey (for Kansas City)
- Caroline (for North Carolina)
What names are inspired by where you live or have personal ties to?

I spent a lot of time in New Mexico when I was a kid, which has some interesting small-town names. One is Truth or Consequences. I’d love to name a dog Truth after that little town. I think this could be cool for a boy or girl. Ojo is another one based on a small NM town. I also spend time in Arizona and like the name Tucson for a dog, boy, or girl. Bisbee is another fun one from AZ.
