I have one energetic young dog and a very lazy older dog. My husband fell off our summerhouse roof last week and broke his wrist, arm, and ribs. I’ve also got a toddler, and I’m struggling to run our house, work, care for my husband and toddler, AND walk the dogs all by myself. Do dogs really need walking every day? Is it a myth? So sorry to hear about your husband Dee, and you’re doing great managing it all with the pups and kiddo! Young dogs need more exercise than older pups, but there are ways you can keep them entertained and get their energy out indoors. Try tossing toys across the room or playing fetch. My dog loves chasing ice down the hall. If you need an extra set of hands you could always ask a friend or neighbor to help with the dog walking responsibilities until your husband gets to feeling better. Hope that helps and that you get some rest!
