Purebred French Bulldogs do have some serious potential health problems due to the breeding for their physical traits (smushy faces, small statures, etc.). See my article about the most common French Bulldog health issues. If you’re committed to getting a purebred Frenchie, make sure the breeder you select has done all the health tests recommended for this breed to ensure you get the healthiest pup.
