Is it weird if my dog has the same name as my friend’s son?

I love tough dog names and have always wanted to name a pup Bjorn after one of my favorite characters on the Viking TV show. The problem is my friend has a son named Bjorn. I am getting a male puppy next week and am trying to find more name ideas. I think it might be odd to name my dog this now, even though I’ve loved the name forever. I like powerful dog names. Do you have any ideas on what I can name my new little buddy so that it does not seem like I’m stealing my friend’s baby name?
I wouldn’t worry too much about naming them after your friend’s son. It’s not like they live with the dog and see them on a regular basis (in that case it would be a little confusing). But it’s your pet and if anything they’ll be flattered for naming your dog after him!
It’s not weird. I would say tell your friend ahead of time and come up with a nickname for the baby or the dog to use when you are all together so they do not get confused with each other. Plenty of people have the same name as a pet. I have an uncle named Tom and a dog named Tom, and I never confuse them.
