With warmer weather moving in, it’s bugs and creepy-crawling things galore in my backyard. We were outside in the yard this morning when my dog suddenly lunged at something near the patio. Before I could stop him, he ate what looked like a spider, legs and all. I didn’t get a good look at it, so I’m not sure what kind it was. Maybe a daddy longlegs, we have a lot of those.
He seems totally fine so far; he is acting normally, with no signs of distress, but I still can’t stop worrying. I’ve heard some spiders can be dangerous, but I don’t know how serious this could be for dogs. Has anyone else dealt with this? Should I be calling the vet, or am I overreacting?
