Does pet insurance cover vet visits (like routine check ups or if there’s a problem with my pup)?

Annual vet visits are not covered under pet insurance policies. They can be covered through a wellness plan.
Each provider handles emergency exam fees differently. Some offer coverage for exam fees in their base policies, others require an add-on, and some offer no coverage at all. The coverage table in my pet insurance comparison includes “vet exam fees” as one of the columns. Look there to see how some of the best pet insurance companies handle coverage for exam fees.
