I know pitbulls have a “reputation,” but what about Bullmastiffs? The ones I’ve been around have been very sweet, but they are huge and look a lot like pitbulls.

Bullmastiffs don’t have a rep like Pittbulls do, but they look just as if not more powerful than Pitties which is why some people assume they look aggressive. I’ve personally never met an aggressive Pittie or a Bullmastiff. The Bullmastiffs I’ve looked after have all been super sweet and seriously dopey, and not a mean bone in their body. Like all dogs, it’s all about the training and puppy socialization, so if you’re thinking about getting one put the effort in and they are sure to become friendly and happy pups.
