My policy covers vet visits (to some extent), but I’m unsure of whether the veterinarian in the town we’re moving to will accept the policy. As a general rule, do all veterinarians accept pet insurance?
Most pet insurers let you visit any licensed vet in the U.S. Typically, you take your dog to the vet and pay for treatment. Then, you submit a copy of your fully paid invoice with your claim, and the pet insurance company reimburses you for eligible items via check or direct deposit.
Just to add to what Kimberly shared, pet insurance doesn’t cover routine annual wellness exams. You’d have to have a wellness add-on plan to cover those.
Very helpful thanks you two!!
