I am trying to decide between a Great Dane and a Doberman. They are both such beautiful creatures, but what are some of the big differences for a woman living in an apartment?

Both of these breeds are super loyal and affectionate and make great companions. But there are several things to consider, especially as an apartment dweller! While Great Danes are larger than Dobermans, Dobermans have much higher energy levels and can get bored (and destructive) if they don’t get adequate exercise. Without a yard, you could find a Doberman too difficult to entertain. On the other hand, Dobermans make great guard dogs, which could be a big plus if you live alone.
