I know adult dogs should get annual checkups, but do older dogs need more frequent wellness exams at the vet’s office?
Generally speaking, an annual exam and vaccines should be sufficient for all adult dogs, including seniors, unless concerns arise that need to be assessed. For example, if your older dog is suddenly eating less than normal, this is definitely a reason to call the vet and schedule an evaluative appointment before their next annual check-up.
