I am a huge book nerd and have named most of my pets after literary characters. Do you have any favorite book-inspired dog names to share? I personally love Amelia, after Amelia Bedelia, Katniss from The Hunger Games, Zaphod from The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy, and Watson from Sherlock Holmes. I could go on all day.

Atticus Finch, Madeline, Huckleberry Finn, Scout, Oliver Twist, Gatsby, Sherlock Holmes, are some more ideas!

What about Luna from Harry Potter? That’s a super popular dog name. Or some other popular literary book names I’ve heard of:
      – Winnie, from the children’s book series Winnie the Pooh
      – Arya from Game of Thrones
      – Max from Where the Wild Things Are
      – Sally from the The Cat in the Hat
Hope you come up with something perfect for your pup

I’m kind of old school, but I love the name Heathcliff (Wuthering Heights) for a boy dog. I also like Beowulf (Beowulf), which is good for boy dogs. I like Binx (The Moviegoer), Ramona (Ramona Quimby), and Melanie ( The Girl With All The Gifts) for girls.

Some of my favorites include Marian from Robin Hood, Snowball from Animal Farm, and, of course, Bilbo Baggins from LOTR.

My sister named her dogs Edgar, Allen, and Poe.

What great suggestions. I can never get enough book-inspired dog names. It makes me want another puppy just to name them something awesome!
