Are all dog bones dangerous to all types of dogs? We have a very healthy Husky/Shepard mix, we have been giving Steak bones to, our current vet says yes to this!!

Answer

Raw bones can still splinter, chip and cause tooth wear down breakage and gum issues. In addition, they increase bacterial load, thus causing oral disease. Undigested bones are also prone to throat and stomach blockage which can harm a dog and smaller bones can cause choking. While it’s tempting to serve your pup table scraps and let them have bones, we say better safe than sorry.
