KeymasterThese dogs have become much more popular in recent years, making them less likely to be found at your local shelter or rescue organization. But, you may as well check – you might get lucky!
You are more likely to find Cane Corsi for adoption via a breeder, especially if you are looking for a purebred puppy. Make sure you do your research to find a reputable breeder with solid bloodlines and expect to pay between $1,500 and $4,000 in the US.

KeymasterThe best thing to do is call a local vet and keep a watchful eye for any changes in appearance or behavior. They will likely suggest you give your dog Benedryl (or the appropriate dose for your dog’s size) to minimize allergic reactions.
We have covered dogs getting stung by bees in more depth in this article.

KeymasterIt is recommended that you brush your dog’s teeth at home every day. However, we have been doing this once a week (every Friday night) for years, and the vet has said their teeth look clean. This definitely can vary by dog, just like it does for us humans (but I would not recommend any human waiting a week between teeth brushing!). We also give our dogs daily dental chews to help maintain between brushing.
We use the Virbac toothpaste and toothbrush set and our dogs LOVE the taste of the toothpaste. We find the dogs are more tired at night and, thus, more willing to let us do things they might find more intrusive in the morning hours.
Hope these tips are helpful and you can get started soon. Your dog will thank you when they don’t need their teeth pulled!

KeymasterThe no-pull harness we reviewed here is also a great option for escape artist dogs like yours, Summer. I use this harness with our Rat Terrier mix, and it is the most reliable for keeping him in his harness, even when we come across a squirrel! It also has a handle on the top, which I often reach for when he wants to meet other dogs who may not be as interested in making his acquaintance. 😉

KeymasterA good brush is the best tool for maintaining your Poodle’s coat. But there are many different brushes available, and not all brushes suit every dog.
This guide covers the essentials of Poodle grooming, including the different types of brushes and the best ones for your Poodle. A slicker brush is probably your bet for this curly-coated pup. We also provide tips for grooming your Poodle and share common mistakes to avoid.

KeymasterHello! No, I don’t think so at this time. To our knowledge, the Farm Bureau does not offer a pet insurance policy, and there is nothing about this product being offered on their website. However, the similarly named Farmers Insurance sells pet insurance that is serviced by one of our most highly recommended companies, Pets Best.

KeymasterThere are also several online vet options to consider for more standard concerns. However, if your dog is suffering from an emergency, you should go directly to a local vet for an exam and treatment.

KeymasterAs with all insurance, it depends on way too many variables to give you a one-size-fits-all answer. So, we recommend that you do the following before making your final choice:
- Read our
pet insurance 101 guide - Review the factors to consider before buying in our handy printable comparison chart
- Get several price quotes from reputable companies
This might be helpful as well but keep in mind it is for Yorkies and not your mixed breed.

KeymasterIf your dog was newly diagnosed with diabetes and thus, your pet insurance company does not consider it to be a pre-existing condition, it will be covered so long as your vet prescribes it. However, the percentage that will be covered may vary based on your policy’s coverage details.
On the flip side, if your dog was diagnosed with diabetes prior to signing up for your insurance, it will be considered a pre-existing condition by most companies and, thus, will be excluded from coverage.

KeymasterGenerally speaking, an annual exam and vaccines should be sufficient for all adult dogs, including seniors, unless concerns arise that need to be assessed. For example, if your older dog is suddenly eating less than normal, this is definitely a reason to call the vet and schedule an evaluative appointment before their next annual check-up.

KeymasterThere are many reasons your dog may sit with you in the bathroom, but it largely comes down to how much they love and want to protect you. You can learn more about why your dog follows you into the bathroom here. And no, there is no reason to worry about this behavior – it is perfectly normal. If you prefer them to stay out, you can always close the door.

KeymasterWell, it depends. Poodles do not have double coats, so most will not. But it is possible that a Goldendoodle could inherit a double coat from its Golden Retriever parent (who do have a double coat of guard hairs and an undercoat).

I have a Poodle mixed with a Beagle. He sheds a lot, hates water, and runs away when I try to brush him. How can I make grooming him easier for us both? I’m tired of my dog looking so shaggy.Poodle coats tend to get tangled and matted quickly due to their curly nature. However, Beagles tend to be easy to groom due to their short, straight coats. So, the groomability of your dog will likely depend on which breed he takes after more: curly or straight coat.
Since you say he is shaggy, I am guessing he likely tends toward the more curly Poodle coat. The best way I have found for my dog to enjoy brushing is to use a Grooming Glove like this one that “tricks” my dog into thinking she is getting petted when she is also getting brushed 😉
If you can teach him to enjoy brushing, working towards a daily routine would be ideal. Then, you can stay ahead of the more painful tangle and mat removals.
